Addis Update 3

Kevin called this morning around 9. He planned to call earlier to catch the kids before school, but court took longer than expected. Everything went through and Taye has his Visa!! They are waiting for the passport and some other papers that were expected to take a couple hours.

Mom said she could hear Taye in the background- he is loud and talking (jabbering) a lot. Kevin said, "say Mama" and he did!!?? The helpers at the orphanage said he is more vocal since they have been there.

He is still loving the attention and spent some of the night in their bed after waking up crying. He was soon comforted by his mama!

There are 5 other couples that they are with who are getting their children as well. They have drivers that take the couples wherever they need to go. They all plan to eat together tonight at an Italian restaurant and go to sunrise services Sunday morning with one of the drivers who is protestant.

The home has some planned sight seeing activities for them as well as time on their own. He said they are busy enough. They get a lot of stares from the local people...as they travel as a group of white people carrying around Ethiopian children.

Unfortunately, due to poor internet access, there won't be pictures until after they return...but even without pictures, it is SO amazing just to imagine Kevin and Laura bonding with their sweet son! God really does bless those who persevere through trial!

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12

God is so faithful and this is such an example of God answering our prayers in his own way, on his timetable. I had goosebumps reading today's post - just picturing both of you with Taye, reading about Taye saing "Mama". Can't wait to see all of you!
